A Message from the Club Captain

GO TO BREAKING NEWS!

Dear Fellow Shooters

Just a few notes to update you all on what is happening in the Cirencester & District Air Rifle and Pistol League.

Due to the magnificent generosity of our League Members 8 new Trophies have been donated to the League making 48 in all to be fired for each season. Most of these are fired for on our 21 shooting evenings, but there are some Highest Average Trophies like the Dennis Goringe Highest Average for Ladies, which Dennis donated some years ago. This and some others are to be won on a yearly average basis with the criteria that participants are only allowed to miss 5 shooting evenings.

Also, for some years the League, at the Annual Presentation Evening gives to each shooting member a small Yearly Average of Air Rifle & Pistol Trophy, with the criteria that each of those members must fire in at least 5 yearly shooting evenings.

Also, most of the evening competitions for Air Rifle & Pistol have 4 Divisions on an average basis of members, and again at the Annual Presentation evening a Diploma Card is presented to members who have achieved 1st, 2nd or 3rd in each division.

An important note is that there is no limit to practice shots each evening, you may practice as much as you wish. Another notable event is that to allow for a necessary League expansion, two more Winder Target Changers have been donated to the league. This will now make 20 operational targets at the Corn Hall, Cirencester on Monday evenings.

This, and our Leagues' massive shooting each evening i.e. 10 shots Air Rifle Match, 10 shots Air Pistol Match, 20 shots each evening competition (mostly two each evening) makes a total of 60 shots which, in most UK Leagues would cost a £5.00 fee costs only £2.50 per evening with us.

Good shooting to you all,

Tony Clack
